WHO ARE WE?

The Wayford Bridge Inn is a friendly pub and hotel on the Norfolk broads in the UK.  The hotel is owned by a company called Aura Inns Limited which is also based in Norfolk.

We like to keep things very simple and are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers whilst using this website.

We will never sell your information and we keep this information to the bare minimum and often only because it is a legal requirement to do so.

In this Privacy policy we outline what kind of information we hold when and how we collect it and how you can access it and if necessary request its deletion and where to send these requests.

Types of data we collect

Use of Cookies on this website and our booking system

This website uses cookies to better the users experience while visiting the website. Where applicable this website uses a cookie control system allowing the user on their first visit to the website to allow or disallow the use of cookies on their computer / device.

We do not use a registration process for our Wi-Fi.  However given the nature of networking equipment we keep logs to help us monitor the usage and security of the hotels network.

When you use Wayford Bridge Wifi Wi-Fi we may collect data about:

  2. b) the volume of data which you use;
  3. c) the websites and applications which you access; and
  4. d) your usage by access time, frequency and location.  

This information is not tied to a guest but it is to a device and it retained for 7 days and only used for security* and maintenance purposes.

*This may include releasing the information to the police but only if failure to do so would jeopardise a legitimate police investigation.

CCTV

We operate a CCTV system at the hotel which covers the public areas and car park.  The reason for this is for safety and the prevention of crime*.

This information is retained for a maximum of 7 days and is then deleted.

Mailing Lists

We do not operate mailing lists.

Sales Data

When you make a purchase/booking with us we take and legally obliged to retain certain information from you.

Restaurant:  Name / Telephone Number / Number of persons in group

This is stored in a diary and destroyed within 12 months

Room Booking:  Name / Address / Telephone Number / Payment Details* / Nationality / Car Registration.

The information above * is securely stored on our PCI complaint hotel booking system little hotelier provided by SiteMinder.  This system is limited to authorised staff only and payment information is only accessible by accounts staff in a secure office.

This information may come from you booking directly or from a travel agency that you use to make the booking.

Once your booking is completed the payment and registration information is kept for HMRC (6 years) and the police (Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 19721 year) in printed and filed format in a secure area and then destroyed by secure shredding once beyond the mandated period.

Our booking system as mentioned is provided by PCI compliant little hotelier by Mews.
